About Us

369th Veterans Association is a New York State incorporated, 501(c)(19) nonprofit organization chartered  by United States Congress. We are comprised of the men and women who have served with the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard.  Memberships is open to all Armed Forces Veterans discharged under Honorable Conditions.

  • 369th National President, Brigadier General Samuel W. Phillips, led Albany’s 1991 Veterans Day Parade, as its first African-American “Grand Marshall”

  • 1996 Johnson was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart by President Bill Clinton
  • February 2003 the Distinguish Service Cross, the Army’s second highest award was presented
  • December 2004 the Postal facility at 747 Broadway was rename the “United States Postal Service Henry Johnson Annex”
  • September 4, 2007 the City of Albany dedicated the Henry Johnson Charter School
  • June 2, 2015 President Barak Obama awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously
  • December 11, 2015 Albany High SChool JROTC rename their unit Sgt. Henry Johnson Battalion
  • February 24, 2016 named Albany VAMC Auditorium after Sgt. Henry Johnson
  • June 5, 2017 Mayor Kathy Sheehan proclaimed this day as Sgt. Henry Johnson Day in the city of Albany, NY
